Since the 1940’s, Big Bear Valley has come together for Old Miners Days, a collection of summer events that serve to ‘bring history alive’ for both residents and visitors.  Events include living history encampments, gold panning and other historical demonstrations, western fashion shows, melodramas, Chautauquas, parades and many more events for the whole family.  The 2013 Old Miners Days theme of “Big Bear Thanks You” was chosen to honor all heroes who put themselves in harm's way to protect us at home and abroad.

Old Miners Big Bear Heritage Parade
