Everyone loves going to a Farmers Market. Small market growers within a 100 mile radius of Big Bear Lake participate to make this market a local favorite. Fresh hand picked vegetables and fruits are harvested just before the market opens and are delivered straight from the growers to you. All farmers are State Certified.
You will have your choice or natural produce or organic. A large variety of other food items as well as freshly baked breads, nuts, honey, juices, farm fresh eggs, and pies are just the beginning of options to purchase.
In addition to the edible items there are also unique gifts that include soaps, lotions, health and specialty items and unique gifts of all kinds.
Added this year is an outdoor patio with dining and espresso bar to enjoy!

This event is fast approaching a locals favorite! Featuring horror and sci-fi film screenings, special guests and more. This will be the 3rd Annual Big Bear Lake Horror Film Fest and will be held at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center in Boulder Bay in Big Bear Lake.

10/29 – Boo in the zoo!
Wow, how can you go wrong with combining kids and exotic animals in the Moonridge Animal Park. This fun loving event starts out your Halloween early. What a great way to be able to use the costume more than once. Don’t forget to bring a container to put your candy in as well, you will be trick-or-treating in the zoo. Yes, and, don’t forget, adults and children are highly encouraged to come as you are not! Win a prize for the best costume(s) in a number of categories. There is Graveyard, Pumpkin Patch, Electric Dungeon of Doom, Witches Brew, Scarecrow Land, Witches Lair, and Goblins throughout the park. The animals in the park will be fed their treats for party goers to watch the fun.

10/31 – Halloween In The Village:
Here’s another fun event that your kids will remember for years to come. Adults and kids are encouraged to dress in their spooky best and trick or treat in the village. This fun loving event has been known to attract crowds upwards of 5,000 treaters when Halloween falls on a weekend, there’s plenty of room for more and fun for all. The traffic in the Village is roped off to provide a safe environment for all. We recommend this event as a must do on your list if you are here over the Halloween holiday.
The Trick or Treat festivities begin at 4:30 PM and conclude by 8:00 PM.

11/25 – Santa & Mrs. Claus’ Arrival to Big Bear:
You better watch out and you better not cry, why? Because Santa Claus is comin’ to town! Participate in the pageantry and special ceremony of welcoming Santa to our Village. He and Mrs. Claus will make there grand entrance and settle in their cabin to make sure they are here to welcome all the little boys and girls and adults too who want to tell Santa their wish list. Once Santa arrives he will be available throughout Big Bear for many breakfasts’, lunches, and events as well as in his Village Cabin on the weekends to greet all who come. 11/25-27 Christmas in The Mountains of Big Bear Lake
What a great way to find unique, one of a kind gifts for that hard to buy for friend or relative. Or, just get a great gift that is guaranteed not to be a duplicate! 11/ 25 – Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Here is your chance to experience a wonderful small town celebration. Become part of the community by visiting the Big Bear Village L and enjoy the wonder and excitement of the festivities surrounding the lighting of the largest Christmas Tree in Big Bear. Guests are treated to warm hot chocolate, joining in singing Christmas carols, and just good ol’ fashioned warm your heart fun! Santa’s entrance is always a show stopper. Once Santa arrives he and Mrs. Claus is available for the kiddies to tell their wishes too. Santa is available every weekend thru the holiday.

12/2-4 - A live performance of “A Christmas Carol”
This enduring traditional classic beloved by all is an extra special treat to see it preformed live. This is a great way to introduce children to a love of live theater performances. At The Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center presented by CATS. The performing arts building is in the Boulder Bay area of Big Bear Lake.
12/31 – The Torchlight Parade
An annual event always held on the last night of the year. This is truly a sight to behold, hundreds of skiers coming down the mountain carrying torches makes for the most beautiful sight to bring in the New Year just right! Snow Summit in Big Bear hosts this amazing event.
