Thanksgiving In Big Bear

Stay in one of our cabins during Thanksgiving for an extra special Thanksgiving celebration! For those wanting to experience a community with warm hearts and much to share!

Come on up for a Big Bear Thanksgiving! The holidays are upon us and so exciting they are! The altitude makes all the difference in feeling the change in seasons as well as our Big Bear hospitality!

The Autumn colors and the fresh smell of clean air mixed with the scent of pine as the cool crisp air caresses your face is something you just can’t experience down the hill. Ever thought that it just doesn’t seem very holiday-ish when temperatures down the hill are around 80 degrees or so?

Imagine yourself in a cozy cabin with fireside chats or maybe out on the slopes of Bear Mountain or Snow Summit. All of our cabins provide an oven, stove, most have microwaves, and the essential elements to make your Thanksgiving meal anyway you like it!

If you’ve never experienced a Big Bear Thanksgiving than make this year the one that is special. We have made our cabins more affordable than ever by offering various promotions during the holiday. Browse our specials and see which promotion works best for you.

With the fast pace of our daily lives, a time to reflect, renew, and regain is vitally important to cultivate our relationships with those closest to us. Our mountain community is filled to the brim with lots of fun and exciting things to make your time spent with loved ones an extra special event.

Besides the quality time spent in one of our cabins, how about taking a trip down the Alpine Slide and/or going down the snow play hill at the Magic Mountain fun zone. Their magic carpet takes you up to the top of the hill with ease and brings you right back quickly for another trip down.

There is so much fun to be had during Thanksgiving in Big Bear. It seems as if we are celebrating two holidays simultaneously! Thanksgiving and Christmas as we have the Christmas Boutique at the Convention center on Nov. 25 to get your holiday shopping started early and then, later that evening we host our Christmas in the Village celebration by lighting our huge Christmas Tree, at the village L, the old fashioned way with attendees singing Christmas and winter carols, drinking hot cocoa and eating goodies, all the while building up to welcoming Santa for his grand entrance. The village is closed off to vehicular traffic and the public is encouraged to attend this wonderfully heart warming event.

After Santa arrives he greets the public and is escorted to Santa’s Cabin in the village, where Santa and Mrs. Claus greet all the good little girls and boys of all ages. The Claus’ remain in Big Bear for many special events throughout the holiday season. Every weekend from the first weekend after Thanksgiving up thru the Christmas holiday itself, Santa will be in the village in order to greet young and young at heart.

We are ready and waiting to welcome you and your family for the most memorable Thanksgiving ever!
